Recently, there was a question at the Desk regarding scanning of oversized documents.
RC did some research and found that Hitchfeld has a scanner that can accommodate documents up to 12"x18".
A local company has called Trigonix has a service that can scan much larger documents.
See Infofile under - "SCANNING".

Printing from Guest/guest account
There seems to be a problem to connect the guest account to the new Xerox printers interface, particularly with the computer model installed in the McLennan e-zone. Some computers may offer printing and others won’t, but it is a matter of trial and error.
ICS is looking at alternative solutions and hope to find one soon. Meanwhile, please don’t send any more tickets. Our original tickets are still open and they are working on it.
Thank you.

Students with thesis submission queries
I know that the past few weeks have seen harried students arrive at info desks looking for help formatting their theses. I also know that none of us like to turn away a student in need.
If you are able to help them with the issue, and you don’t think it will take very long, please feel free to do so – but (there’s always a but!) the GPSO offers technical support for the actual conversion from Word document to PDF/A, so if you can’t solve the problem quickly, you can ask them to get in touch with their faculty thesis representative (names found here: http://www.mcgill.ca/gps/students/thesis/programs/).
Guidelines for preparation of theses are available here - http://www.mcgill.ca/gps/students/thesis/programs/ethesis/.
Cheers!
