Hello All,
Further to the memo below which will effect:
the use of the Redpath E-Zone,
increased use of the McLennan E-classroom and McLennan E-Zone,
the flow of people through the lobby of the McLennan Building and
access to the Cutter collection:
Work will begin on the security gates/turnstiles on Tuesday August 28th at 8:30 and will take about two days to complete.(to Wed. August 29th )
During the relocation we will NOT have any security in place at Redpath.
This means that the Redpath entrance will be closed and users will be directed to use the McLennan entrance.
Furthermore, the Cutter Collection will now be out of the security perimeter.
Should users need an item from Cutter they will be directed to the Loans and Access Desk for retrieval by a staff member.
Eventually, the Cutter Collection, some of which has been reclassed and reduced this past summer, will be moved to Redpath Storage.
The move to Redpath Storage will take place in the fall term.
Courage mes enfants!
Thanks and regards,
Lonnie
Hi All,I am forwarding, for your information, the following memo from Joseph Hafner:
Regards,
Lonnie
MEMO:
The Redpath Library Building main floor entrance security gates will be moved on Tuesday August 28, 2007 starting in the morning. They are being moved away from the doors to the corridor next to the Membership Desk. This is being done because of the Cyberthèque project.During the time when we are moving the gates, the interior entrance/exit doors to the Redpath Library Building will closed, so that people do not have to walk through the construction area. The exterior doors to the building will remain open, so that students can access the Oasis Café.Starting Tuesday the door to the 2nd Floor Cutter Stacks will be closed. Lending & Access Services Staff will retrieve materials from this area temporarily, until we can move this collection to the Redpath Basement. If you have any questions about this, please let me know.
Thanks,
Joseph
