Guest logins for visiting scholars

Hi All,

Cornelia's understanding is correct.

Procedure is - we sign the guest name in the account sheet(s).

Process is - we do not throw out the sheets. Bruce collects and retains them.

I recall using last year's sheets to look at guest status and "busy" period.

Hello,
My understanding is that when we give full computer access to visiting scholars, we take down the information on the clipboard, walk over to the computer and sign them in, rather than providing them with the information to log in themselves. This is what we agreed to do in the summer of 2006 when the computers first required logging in, and to my knowledge this never changed. I would just like to make sure we are all still on the same page, because inconsistency between staff members is frustrating to users.
