EndNote X3

EndNote X3 has been installed in all the computers at the information./reference desk. We are doing it in advance of the re-imaging of the public computers, because we need to test for glitches. Public computers will start getting this version starting on the 2nd week of December.

The X3 version is very similar to X2 so you cannot notice differences at first sight. If you are helping students at the desk, the differences will not be obvious in the majority of cases.

Cornelia and I will appreciate two things from you:

First, it is important that you don’t customize any of the aspects of EndNote. If you need to show how to modify files, styles, etc. or any other customizable feature, please do it either in the clients’ computers or show it but do not save the changes.

Second, please report to us any problems you experience with the program: the direct downloads, the filters (or lack of them) and the citation styles. We will place a page for this reporting in the “Work on these” tablet. If you can’t figure out what the problem is, please call either Cornelia or me, so we can come out and troubleshoot. In fact, we don’t expect any major events. This is just in case you need us.
