From Louise O'Neill:
Recently there have been problems with guest/guest login on public pc’s not allowing access to the library’s e-resources. This was not due to any change in library policy but rather because of a technical issue with the images. It was reported to ICS as soon as the problem was recognized, and as of this morning, ICS has put a fix in place. A slight change to the guest/guest log-in was necessary and it appears on the screen [of the public computers].
An earlier fix from ICS resolved the problem on most PCs but not all of them as we were originally informed. ICS says that they have tested this latest change thoroughly and that all machines that offer guest/guest access should reflect the change. If you should notice that is not the case please contact Frank Kuziomko
This fix is temporary. We have asked ICS to completely re-image all of the public PCs once the semester is over, but only after testing the images first in their lab and then field testing on a small number of library PCs. I will meet with them regularly to monitor the process.
