I just got this handy tip from ICS for when the scanners in McLennan say "scanner not found":
"Unfortunately those scanners have a known issue and the power plug must be removed and put back in order to reset the machine. Both tested successfully when that was done. They are old and should be replaced with newer scanners like the Canon 440 style ones, as we have those in other McGill libraries."
