It’s starting to be paper season around these parts. For your reference, below is an email I recently sent to a student who wanted the kind of help that a Writing Centre can give.

It looks like SSMU runs a drop-in Essay Centre — information is here: http://ssmu.mcgill.ca/blog/aus-peer-tutoring-2010-11-info/. It’s unclear where or when it is, so I’d send an email to the address provided to get some more information...
Apparently a new Writing Centre will be opening in the next year, but I do not have further information at this time. Here is the McGill page that covers academic resources for students — it has some information on writing assistance:
